Privacy first

Good evidence.
Clear boundaries.

People should be able to understand what their employer’s software collects. SimpleSoc2 makes the device check visible, limited and subject to their approval.

What the check collects

Security configuration.

  • Disk encryption status
  • Operating system version
  • Update status
  • Firewall status
  • Screen lock settings
  • Security-software status

These are configuration results from the Mac, shown to the person running the check before upload.

What it does not collect

Someone’s working life.

  • File contents or personal documents
  • Browsing history
  • Screenshots or screen recordings
  • Employee activity

No permanent agent runs in the background. The check ends when the CLI finishes.

Visible before it leaves

The person running it
gets the first look.

The CLI presents the results on the device. The employee or contractor reviews them and approves sending them to the company’s workspace.

Once shared, the results are stored in the app as part of the company’s evidence. If a scheduled check is missed, the responsible person can see that on their dashboard.

Approval is a product step that makes collection visible. Your company is still responsible for its workplace privacy obligations and for explaining its compliance processes to its people.

01

Source you can inspect.

Paying customers get access to the CLI source in a separate repository. Your team can review how the checks work.

02

Based in the EU.

SimpleSoc2 is EU-based, with EU hosting and backups. Built for teams that also do business in the US.

03

Evidence you can take.

Markdown and PDF exports let you share documents and evidence without keeping every conversation inside the app.
